L’année dernière, pour célébrer les 110 ans du Lycée Hôtelier de Nice Jeanne et Paul Augier, Christophe Moreau, notre DDFPT, a eu l'idée originale d'associer l'art niçois à cet anniversaire mémorable. L'objectif était de tisser un lien entre notre riche patrimoine local et l'histoire de l'établissement.
Une œuvre moderne, véritable hommage à la ville de Nice, a ainsi été commandée à un artiste niçois. Stéphane Bolongaro, figure emblématique de la scène artistique locale, a répondu présent. Il a créé un Totor around the world, une sculpture unique qui symbolise l'ouverture d'esprit, l'ouverture sur le monde et sur l'art. Cette œuvre représente une nouvelle étape dans l’histoire du lycée, soulignant notre engagement à encourager la créativité et l'innovation.
L'inauguration de Totor s'est déroulée lors d'une cérémonie présidée par M. Denis Férault, proviseur du lycée, rassemblant étudiants, professeurs, en présence de M. Robert Roux, adjoint Culture Ville de Nice, Philippe Pradal, premier adjoint Ville de Nice et Mme Navalesi adjointe éducation Ville de Nice.
Totor est aujourd'hui un emblème de notre établissement, reflétant les valeurs que nous chérissons : ouverture, diversité et excellence.
Quelques semaines plus tôt, c’était dans un autre cadre festif que le lycée avait commencé cette célébration. Un dîner d’exception, orchestré par le chef étoilé Alain Llorca, a réuni convives et amateurs de gastronomie pour un moment inoubliable. Cet événement a également été l'occasion d'organiser une tombola, dont les lots, offerts par des artistes niçois, ont renforcé la connexion entre art et gastronomie.
Ainsi, cette double célébration a mis en lumière l’alliance unique entre l'art, la culture locale et la haute gastronomie, valeurs chères à notre lycée, faisant de cette année anniversaire un moment exceptionnel dans l’histoire de notre établissement.
Last year, to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Lycée Hôtelier de Nice Jeanne et Paul Augier, Christophe Moreau, our Deputy Director of Vocational Training and Education, came up with the original idea of associating Niçois art with this memorable milestone. The goal was to create a link between our rich local heritage and the history of the institution.
A modern piece of art, a true tribute to the city of Nice, was commissioned from a local artist. Stéphane Bolongaro, a prominent figure on the local art scene, responded enthusiastically. He created *Totor around the world*, a unique sculpture symbolizing open-mindedness, openness to the world, and to art. This work represents a new chapter in the history of the school, highlighting our commitment to fostering creativity and innovation.
The inauguration of Totor took place during a ceremony presided over by Mr. Denis Férault, the school's principal, gathering students and teachers, and attended by Mr. Robert Roux, Deputy for Culture of the City of Nice, Philippe Pradal, First Deputy Mayor of Nice, and Mrs. Navalesi, Deputy for Education of the City of Nice.
Totor is now an emblem of our institution, reflecting the values we hold dear: openness, diversity, and excellence.
A few weeks earlier, the school had begun this celebration in a different festive setting. An exceptional dinner, orchestrated by Michelin-starred chef Alain Llorca, brought together guests and gastronomy enthusiasts for an unforgettable evening. This event also included a raffle, with prizes donated by Niçois artists, further strengthening the connection between art and gastronomy.
Thus, this dual celebration highlighted the unique alliance between art, local culture, and haute cuisine, values dear to our school, making this anniversary year an exceptional moment in the history of our institution.
